The flights are booked, the bags are almost packed and our next volunteer contingent is going to Laos in mid November with others following in stages up until Christmas and staying through until at least mid January. We have recently run a very successful information afternoon where we have been able to recruit other volunteers who will be a very valuable members of the team. From contacts at the session we have also been able to get some young and strong volunteers who are willing to give up some of their holiday time in Laos to do some work for us. This will include painting and repairs and also distribution of clothes to both the Suan Luang facility for orphans and disadvantaged children and also some isolated villages along the river. This will also be fun for everyone as a river ride up the Mekong, or some of the other local rivers is always a beautiful experience. We will also be visiting some of our LUV project victims to ensure that their rehabilitation help continues as well as doing further cultivation on the farm project. We always have a wonderful time as well as enjoy our hands on work.
There is still time for anyone who wishes to join us. Cheers, Marilyn President - Global Support Association Inc.

AuthorGlobal Support Association Inc is a group of Australian Citizens who provide the opportunity for companies, families and individuals to really become hands on and give either in time, expertise and/or money and get to know the Laos people. Visitors can come in small numbers and be escorted with our volunteers, Laos guides and government officials to visit current projects and give hands on help. This of course is done with the utmost discretion and protection of the children and villages. Every escorted tour is individually tailored to meet both the needs of the donor and of the projects and to ensure any project does not become a tourist destination ArchivesCategories
