to tour with Philanthropists John and Marilyn and founders of Global Support Association Inc.
Tours are limited to maximum of 8 - Purpose
Global Support Association Inc. is offering to run some exclusive and private tours to Laos - between November 1st 2015 and 20th January 2016 - Please Contact us if you would like to hear more about these trips. * Conditions Apply.
Further trips will be available throughout 2016
These trips are suited for corporate, families or groups who want to have fun, perhaps remain anonymous by travelling independently and who would like to make a choice on donations to make a difference and see these choices for themselves. We can even tailor special individual projects which suit.
There are 3 main purposes of these tours

1. Help Orphans and disadvantaged children in Laos. The initial purpose of the tour is to raise money for our Laos projects. We are a not for profit association and need to raise funds to provide for the disadvantaged and orphan children at 3 facilities near Luang Prabang - which house around 1800 children. We also need to raise funds for all our other worthwhile projects - in Laos. Our projects are growing as we seek out those projects and individuals which with a little bit of help from us can start to help themselves into ensuring the children and families of Laos a brighter future. These projects can also be exclusive to yourselves or your group if you wish. Our connections and in country knowledge allow us to leverage our assistance by utilising and connecting with already available resources previously unknown by the needy. The orphanage facilities are not available to the general public. The main purpose of Global Support Association Inc is to help the children - they are not a tour group.
2. Find a worthwhile project for donors. The second purpose is to help the tour group and/or individuals find a project they really wish to help, be involved in and follow up on. These exclusive tours will provide many options to help and will assist those people, families and organisations to find a project of choice. Those who would like to help and who can and want to contribute something can see first hand what needs to be done in Laos and can make their own decision to help where they feel it is important - directly and hands on without going through a third party - no administration costs.
Our experience tells us that generally donors like to become part of the donor family and like to see where their money or effort is going at least in the early stages and wish to be able to follow this up and be fully informed along the way. You will have your own exclusive charity finder if you have a specific purpose.

3. Exclusive tour of fun. The next main purpose is to ensure that the participants have lots and lots of fun and adventure. The participants will really experience Laos, see some beautiful and unspoiled places and have an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives. They will be the envy of their friends at the dining rooms tables by sharing their tales when they return home. The tour leaders are experienced in seeking out spontaneous activities and unplanned adventures to ensure that you will experience the culture and fun - they will also tailor the activities for the level of personal skills and fitness, for your personal interests and for lots of surprises. The trip will be flexible.
Our team leaders John and Marilyn (Senior Australians) have been given the name "Mr and Mrs Fun Tours" by many of their previous private excursions. While there is a serious aspect to the tours - the Lao people are generally fun loving, hospitable and welcoming and enjoy participation by foreigners and John and Marilyn will seek these opportunities out whenever they can as value added activities.
The participants will not feel like tourists because they will engage in the lives and activities of the locals who are not primed to expect tourists. The team leaders speak Lao and their experience and organizational skills in Laos will ensure your safety and comfort and making you feel part of the community without the hardship and will ensure your comfort with good secure accommodation, western toilets, disciplined drivers, good air conditioned vehicles and good food and clean water which will be supervised by the team leaders.

Costing for the Trip
- Costs in Laos are extremely cheap, but accommodation can vary from $10 - $1600 per night. Usually, we find very good accommodation around $60 per night average for a couple. This will include air con, hot water, western toilet, and very clean as well as very good service. The accommodation is usually guest house accommodation and mostly includes breakfast. This is not backpacker accommodation and is similar or better quality than say a motel in Australia. The $10 accommodation can also be quite good but as John and Marilyn are older citizens, they prefer to pay a bit more for the comfort but are flexible. We will give you a better idea once you make enquiries. Accommodation also depends on where we are and the season. Costing is a little vague and depends entirely on the choice of accommodation, transport etc. It will be cheaper if you can get a group together to share and also we can negotiate better with the locals.
- Costs for the trip will commence at pick up point by John and Marilyn and will depend on your choice of budget, medium or luxury accommodation. From that point of pick up - all accommodation and food will be at cost payable at the venue - an estimate of which you will be given prior to leaving. Transport costs will be shared by number of participants - we usually run a kitty to cover fuel, driver etc. You can choose to be collected at Bangkok, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Vientiane or Luang Prabang. There are many ways to travel to Laos. John and Marilyn can discuss with you the best way for you and it is more economical (and a very beautiful trip) to travel by vehicle to Luang Prabang if there are 8 or more people travelling together and it is a great trip but you need to have a few days to allow just for this. If you are rushed - a direct flight from Bangkok to Luang Prabang could be more appropriate. Before you commence your trip we will be able to make a fairly good estimate of costs depending on your times and choices and whether we have a large group or not.
- The team Leaders do not wish to make a profit but would like their costs covered as this is taking them away from their normal volunteer work and will have to spend extra time to make up this gap. Team Leaders will be with you whenever you want - Breakfast through going to bed if you wish. These costs are to be shared with the group at cost.
We can tailor this trip to suit your needs
